About The Position

This position is for an Electrical Engineer 3 in the Power and Lighting Section of Department E13 at HII's Newport News Shipbuilding. The role involves researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for all VIRGINIA CLASS Drawing evaluations and development, shore power, ships power generation, and providing evaluation of non-conformances, material evaluation, and quality evaluation. The position requires regular communication with the NAVY, ELECTRIC BOAT, manufacturers, and waterfront personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

Responsibilities
