About The Position

The Advanced Propulsion team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical leader to spearhead the development of the next generation of fast attack submarines, including the future VIRGINIA Class and SSNX. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design of innovative components and systems, enhancing capabilities, performance, and maintainability. Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

Nice To Haves

Model Based System Engineering experience
Specific knowledge of submarine propulsion plant design
Direct technical expertise with turbine generators including design of generators, controls, and magnetic bearings
Experience in technical writing
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
