About The Position

Actively supports implementation of AI solutions to enhance manufacturing efforts. Develops numerical models to simulate the manufacturing processes and create engineering tools. Designs experiments to provide highly controlled multi-scale test setups to study manufacturing processes. Conducts manufacturing design and production support in each transition of a new blade program. Participates in the expansion of TPI’s intellectual property portfolio. Contributes to the development and implementation of engineering solutions that improve current production challenges. Possesses the ability to identify and evaluate new and developing technologies and identify potential development projects. Trains and mentors TPI’s local and global site engineers.

Requirements

  • MS in Mechanical Engineering, computer science, or other related majors.
  • Minimum 3 years research and development experience required.
  • Experienced with CAE tools and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Proficient in using CAD/CAM tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Hands on approach to problem solving
  • Highly self-driven and detail oriented.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Materials Engineering, computer science, or other related majors.
  • Experience with developing machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques is highly preferred.
  • Working experience with ABAQUS.
  • Familiarity with CATIA V5.
  • Knowledge of Polymers and Composites is a plus.
  • Spanish Language Skill is a plus
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
