About The Position

This role actively supports the implementation of AI solutions to enhance manufacturing efforts. The engineer will develop numerical models to simulate manufacturing processes and create engineering tools. They will also design experiments for controlled multi-scale test setups to study manufacturing processes, and conduct manufacturing design and production support during new blade program transitions. The position involves participating in the expansion of TPI’s intellectual property portfolio and contributing to the development and implementation of engineering solutions for current production challenges. The engineer will identify and evaluate new technologies for potential development projects and train/mentor local and global site engineers.

Requirements

• MS in Mechanical Engineering, computer science, or other related majors.
• Minimum 3 years research and development experience required.
• Experienced with CAE tools and Finite Element Analysis.
• Proficient in using CAD/CAM tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Hands on approach to problem solving.
• Highly self-driven and detail oriented.
• Ability and willingness to travel overseas.

Nice To Haves

• PhD. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Materials Engineering, computer science, or other related majors.
• Experience with developing machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques is highly preferred.
• Working experience with ABAQUS.
• Familiarity with CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of Polymers and Composites is a plus.
• Spanish Language Skill is a plus.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
