Engineer - Avionics, Instruments & GNC Sr

BLUE ORIGINLos Angeles, WA

About The Position

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As an Engineering Operations lead on the Core Avionics Team, you will work to improve the engineering operating cadence, vertical integrations and hardware deliveries for the core avionics teams, with a primary focus on electronics design and manufacturing operations. This role directly impacts technology maturation for space-rated avionics systems and requires deep understanding of electronics development lifecycles. You will perform program management functions across the entire product life cycle from research and electronics design development through final flight hardware manufacturing and production. You will manage budgets, schedules, WBS, and program plans to ensure complex electronics hardware is delivered to support various mission-critical tasks. You will communicate status, risks & opportunities, variances, and recovery plans to engineering and program management teams. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. We are looking for someone to apply their electronics design and manufacturing expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
