Engineer - AI Delivery (high-potential program)
About The Position
This role is part of an innovative team supporting Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions. The Engineer - AI Delivery will work with potential leaders within multiple departments with growing responsibility, rotating through departments such as AI & Innovation - AI Delivery, APX Design Automation & Configuration – Software development, and Fuel Engineering Technology – Software development. The Catalyst Program aims to support business growth, develop leadership, display corporate stewardship, and identify future career interests. The role is a mobile/hybrid position based in Etna, PA, reporting to the Senior Staff Application Security Architect.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science with an emphasis on AI systems and business application alongside fundamental understanding of architectural foundations
- 0+ years experience

- Flexibility to relocate based on the job rotations
- Knowledge of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with the ability to identify and apply these solutions to create value.

Nice To Haves
- Experience with Java and SQL/Database Design, web-programming (HTML/JavaScript/CSS).
- REST APIs, MVC Architecture, and bootstrap helpful
Responsibilities
- Lead projects through a series of rotations to deliver value across multiple departments or global locations, utilizing planning, communication, and teamwork.
- Gain hands-on experience and develop an understanding of different departments.
- For each rotation/department, develop an understanding of the strategic direction and business environment, and evaluate how business strategies align with the direction of the business.
- Identify areas of improvement and use data analysis skills to propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of each rotational department.
- Develop a foundation of leadership.
- Use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced digital technologies to improve Westinghouse products, services, and processes, driving innovation for long-term operation and new nuclear builds worldwide.
- Collaborate across Westinghouse, bringing AI&I technological know-how to diverse departments to deliver strategic value and ensure digital transformation across projects.
- Upon successful completion of the two-year Catalyst rotational program, become a permanent member of the AI solutions team, performing regular tasks such as development of AI technology bricks, agents, and solutions.
- Use experience gained through rotations to create strategic impact and ensure long-term career growth.
