The role requires using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot engine malfunctions, correct issues, and provide technical information to other personnel for timely problem resolution. The tester will inspect parts, accept or reject engines based on test results, and diagnose and suggest corrective actions for failing engines or components. Additionally, the role may involve instructing student engineers and lower-rated personnel on test procedures and maintaining required test records. This position may involve high-risk or hazardous operations and working shifts beyond a standard workweek, requiring the incumbent to be at least 18 years of age. Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required, making employment contingent upon proving U.S. Person status.
