About The Position

Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri. The Engine Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, repairing and rebuilding diesel and compression gas engines to provide an excellent customer experience. Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics, line diagrams and other related publications

Nice To Haves

• Experience with all makes and models of engine rebuilds
• Stable work history
• Comfortable operating various types of equipment and implements, diagnostic tooling, various shop hand and electric tools and overhead hoists/cranes
• Ability to foster positive relationships internally and externally

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on engines as well as diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments
• Be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed
• Create a work environment that is considerate of the customer’s needs
• Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations
