About The Position
Mustang Cat is hiring experienced Engine Rebuild Mechanics for shop and field service roles. The mechanic disassembles, repairs, and restores diesel and natural gas industrial engines used in systems supporting infrastructure and industries throughout Texas. Work may be performed independently in the shop or at customer sites using a field service truck.
Requirements
- Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous mechanic or military experience.
- Knowledge of electronic, hydraulic, and engine systems.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical problems.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or certificate from a technical school preferred.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, and recondition diesel and natural gas engines.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Remove and install engines and generator systems.
- Test and adjust components for optimal performance.
- Conduct technical analysis and failure diagnosis.
- Work independently in the shop or at customer sites using a field service truck.
