About The Position

Arnold Motor Supply is hiring an Engine Machinist to provide specialized engine machining services to customers. The role involves developing custom solutions based on customer needs and safely operating and maintaining machine shop equipment. The machinist manages a broad range of jobs and projects across industries including agriculture, high-performance, diesel, and vintage/restoration, while ensuring work is completed accurately, to specification, and on time.

Requirements

• Manual dexterity adequate for machining and assembly operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to regularly lift at least 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand, lift, twist, bend, walk, and sit.
• Some computer knowledge and proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers’ unique needs and create engine machining solutions to meet them.
• Safely operate and maintain machine shop equipment.
• Manage a broad range of jobs and projects across a variety of industries.
• Create accurate estimates for job requirements and manage resources to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain strong communication with customers throughout each project.
• Perform machine shop work including engine rebuilds and machining, and reconditioning blocks, heads, crankshafts, flywheels, drums, rotors, and other parts.
