The Engine Development Dynamometer Technician – 2nd Shift supports the engineering community in developing engine hardware and calibrations for next‑generation General Motors vehicles. This role plays a critical part in generating data that informs decisions affecting vehicle quality, durability, and performance experienced by our customers. Reporting to the Group Leader, you will receive daily work assignments and collaborate closely with test engineers, calibrators, and suppliers to support testing activities within the Engine Dyno Test Cells. Responsibilities include mechanical setup and maintenance of test articles, execution of test plans, and use of the Global Manufacturing System (GMS) to achieve safety, quality, and performance metrics. The role balances standardized work processes with complex, one‑off scenarios that require strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and innovation.
