About The Position

Step into a critical quality-focused role within our Engine Auditing Department. As an Engine Audit Technician, you will be the gatekeeper of engine performance—assembling, modifying, and diagnosing engines and their components. Working from technical blueprints, you will troubleshoot complex issues, perform precision repairs, and run vital quality audits and hot test cells. Your keen eye for detail will also guide the accurate logging of repair data and the proper management of non-conforming materials to ensure only the highest quality leaves our floor.

Requirements

  • Three years of diesel engine assembly and troubleshooting experience.
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
  • We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of experience as an engine mechanic or equivalent diesel mechanic technical school graduation certificate.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine control systems.
  • Three to five years of experience with quality instruments; i.e. micrometer, dial bore gage, and a digital volt and ohm meter.
  • Ability to read engine prints and wiring schematics.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines.
  • Ability to perform engine audits to ensure process compliance.
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Non-Conforming Material (NCM): Receive, evaluate, and process all materials returned to the NCM area.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Quality, Materials, and Production departments regarding NCM issues.
  • Determine whether components should be scrapped or repaired, and oversee the execution of that decision.
  • Repair and teardown materials according to work instructions, complete NCM tickets, return parts to the assembly line, and update relevant team members.
  • Conduct NCM Pareto analysis to track trends and identify frequent quality issues.
  • Perform emergency containment procedures on engines as required to prevent defects from escaping.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
