About The Position

The Engagement Specialist is a crucial role within our organization, requiring work in various capacities and adaptation to different work arrangements based on the needs set by business. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the clinical department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services. The specialist will coordinate and schedule patient appointments, procedures, and consultations, optimizing provider availability and patient experience. Maintaining and updating accurate patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA) is a key responsibility. The role also involves supporting clinical staff by organizing medical charts, files, and other documentation essential for smooth clinical operations. Collaboration with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff is essential to ensure smooth workflow and patient care coordination. Administrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence related to clinical operations are also part of the role. Ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and company policies regarding patient confidentiality and data security is paramount. The Engagement Specialist must also be able to adapt to changing business needs and work arrangements as directed by management.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a related field (internship experience included).
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical workflows.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
