About The Position

The Engagement Specialist (ES) role focuses on supporting the work of the Engagement Team by implementing activity plans, communication plans, leveraging data and analytics, and serving as Secretary to the Thrivent Member Network (TMN) Board. This role is crucial for driving impact, delivering value to clients, and growing sales by aligning the work of the TMN and Engagement Team with strategic outcomes. Candidates must be located within driving distance of the Appleton/Fox Cities area to support regular in-person event execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • 3+ years’ experience utilizing social media platforms to deliver results
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data for business purposes
  • Effective communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to leverage the technical tools of the job, including Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, Social Media Platforms and Digital Client Engagement and Insights Platforms
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel to events
  • Must have proper home office environment to conduct remote work. This includes suitable high speed internet to conduct the business of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, execute and manage a cadence of events within the TMN based on membership data, expressed needs and passions of members and aligned to the growth strategy of the Advisor Group.
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including venue, catering, and contracts.
  • Develop work plans and action items according to project goals, including post event follow up.
  • Support execution of virtual, hybrid and in-person engagement activities including workshops, events and webinars.
  • Be present at planned events when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and teams within Membership and Thrivent enterprise to bring relevant communication to clients and prospective clients.
  • Develop and execute a strategic internal and external communication plan to support the engagement activities of the Thrivent Member Networks served.
  • Manage all aspects of TMN projects, events and partnerships with identified Christian organizations, non-profits and churches as assigned, in conjunction with local and enterprise leadership.
  • Develop expert knowledge of Thrivent programs and resources, and the demographics of the region and markets the position serves.
  • Complete all required activity reporting and analysis for engagement activities and provide reports to leadership, team members and TMN boards to share the impact of the engagement activities of the region and to inform future strategies and tactics.
  • Make logistics plans for quarterly TMN board meetings and communicate with TMN board members about these meetings.
  • Arrange hotel lodging, meals, speakers, etc. for quarterly TMN board meetings.
  • Conduct site visits to board meeting locations to assess meeting room and technology support for hybrid meetings.
  • Take meeting minutes for board meetings, send them to the Governance Team at Thrivent for review, and add them to Board Effect.
  • Add meeting materials to Board Effect in advance of board meetings.
