About The Position

As part of the Marketing and Communications team, you will contribute to initiatives that expand access to higher education and support lifelong learning. The Engagement Officer, Equip plays an important role in supporting adult learners as they explore education, skills development and career opportunities. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, University Pathways, you will provide operational and administrative support for programs designed to build confidence, self-efficacy and direction in higher education and career planning. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help coordinate workshops, engagement activities and participant experiences that create meaningful pathways into further study.

Requirements

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and provide effective support to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Proficient in public speaking and written communication skills;
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage tasks, maintain accurate records, support event coordination and meet deadlines within established processes and guidance;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in dealing confidently and sensitively with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including disadvantaged.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing administrative or operational support for events, workshops, community engagement activities, or participant communications.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, databases, project management tools, or exposure to tertiary pathways, career development, or student engagement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality operational and administrative support to ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of workshops, programs and stakeholder activities;
  • Support stakeholder engagement and participant experience through timely communication, coordination of logistics and consistent follow-up to enhance participation and conversion outcomes;
  • Maintain accurate data, systems and reporting processes to support program tracking, evaluation and continuous improvement of Widening Participation initiatives; and
  • Assist in the delivery of outreach and engagement activities that support adult learners in exploring and accessing tertiary pathways.
