About The Position

BAE Systems' Space & Mission Systems team is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to design next-generation technology for aerospace and defense applications. This role involves working on advanced RF, LiDAR, antenna, and electronic systems for mission-critical platforms across air, land, sea, and space. The engineer will manage hardware development from concept and circuit design through simulation, prototype development, laboratory testing, environmental qualification, and integration. The position requires collaboration with systems, PCB, software, and other engineering disciplines, focusing on analog, digital, mixed-signal, FPGA, power, and control circuitry. The Electrical & Electronic Solutions team develops innovative technologies to enhance warfighters' capabilities in detection, identification, communication, and response to evolving threats. The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit fosters a collaborative, cross-functional environment committed to innovation, integrity, continuous learning, and strong execution.

Requirements

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 4 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education.
  • Experience with digital, analog, and FPGA electronic circuit design, electronic systems, as well as related software.
  • Hands-on test experience in a lab environment using test equipment such as a DMM, oscilloscope, pulse generator, current probe, spectrum analyzer, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across electrical, systems, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineering disciplines.
  • Applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
