About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer with 2 to 20+ years of experience to join their growing team. This role involves developing Next Generation Electronic Systems Products and Solutions, focusing on Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. The company develops sophisticated digital EW systems that detect, locate, and counter threats for joint and international aircrew, aiming to improve air vehicle survivability. BAE Systems fosters a collaborative culture and offers a flexible work environment with a 9/80 work schedule. The Systems Engineer will be part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from modeling and design to integration, testing, and support of innovative Electronic Systems. Due to the classified nature of the work, these positions will be 100% on-site.

Requirements

  • 2 to 20+ years of relevant Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and/or complex electromechanical products
  • Experience with systems engineering activities across the product development lifecycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, architecture, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test, production, sustainment)
  • Active DoW Secret Clearance highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creation and/or review of systems, software, component, subsystem requirements and operational concepts
  • Deriving, decomposing, allocation and traceability of requirements to engineering discipline
  • Identification of Risks and Opportunities and executing on mitigation strategies
  • Identification of System Technical Performance Measures
  • Participation in trade studies, analysis, peer reviews, and customer meetings
  • Support system modeling & simulation, design, and development activities
  • Creation of external and internal interface definition
  • Knowledge of model based systems engineering tools and approach
  • Presentation of findings at design reviews internally or with customers
  • Creation of test plans, test procedures and reports
  • Creation and/or review of algorithms
  • Analysis of data to inform decision making
  • Execution of integration, verification, and validation activities and tests
  • Participate in external field and flight tests of our EW Systems
  • Participate in constant improvement of the System Engineering discipline
