About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking creative, innovative problem solvers to join a system security engineering focused group. This role involves designing and developing innovative security solutions on complex processors, balancing product capability with defense-in-depth security. Engineers play the role of adversary to identify attack vectors and propose countermeasures for maximum protection and value throughout the system lifecycle. The position requires a bachelor’s degree plus 4 or more years of work experience, or an understanding of systems engineering techniques and processes. This role is full-time and performed entirely on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 or more years of work experience, or understanding systems engineering techniques and processes.
  • Experience working at the driver, Operating System (OS) and/or Board Support Package (BSP) level.
  • Defining embedded software architectures.
  • Integrating software on complex processors.
  • Technical leadership of a software development.
  • Writing System Requirements.
  • Defining System Architectures.
  • Integrating Hardware and Software.
  • Validating and Verifying the delivered solution.

Nice To Haves

  • Cryptographic algorithm implementation.
  • Configuring security features of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) S-SOTA components.
  • Firmware development for COTS S-SOTA components such as Xilinx or Microsemi FPGAs.
  • Applying secure coding practices, securing operating systems, and virtualization.
  • Implementing and configuring security protocols.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or MagicDraw.
  • Developing positive customer relationships.
  • Product design development and design analysis for manufacturability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement security architectures on complex processors based on requirements from your analysis of adversary threats and proposed countermeasures.
  • Implement and test embedded software according to the guidance provided by the U.S. Government.
  • Work with Security State of the Art (S-SOTA) technologies.
  • Provide customers with sophisticated, defense-in-depth security solutions.
  • Work with NIST cryptographic algorithms.
  • Developing embedded software for security solutions on embedded processors.
  • Understanding systems engineering techniques and processes.
  • Experience working at the driver, Operating System (OS) and/or Board Support Package (BSP) level.
