In this position, you will assist with a variety of multi-year energy management projects. This position ensures feasible measure development through identification of cost savings for the client. This position is expected to begin in early May 2026.

Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or the equivalent, combined with experience working in a directly related field such as engineering or construction management;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 0-1 year of relevant engineering experience, including energy balances and calculations, auditing of mechanical, control, and domestic water systems, mechanical and control systems design and analysis, and recommissioning activities
  • Effective influencing, communicating, and negotiating skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to provide sound and reliable judgment in business solutions
  • Sound business acumen, including resource management, cash flows, conflict resolution, and contract management
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify facility improvement measures and/or opportunities.
  • Conduct facility site visits, analyze current situation and assist with facility improvement measure plans.
  • Coordinate and communicate with outside consultants and/or contractors.
  • Assists with the identification and qualification of potential performance contracting projects
  • Assists in the development of preliminary and final performance contracting proposals
  • Applies building energy simulation programs to develop energy, cooling, and heating load-building models using modeling software.
  • Assist with measure design and development through creation of documentation including accurate descriptions, savings potential, and cost estimates
  • Develop tender documents and design packages which include drawings, specifications and sequences of operations
  • Support internal monitoring and verification initiatives
  • Sustaining relationships with building performance and utility program sponsors
  • Working with the Project Engineer, Program Manager and Construction Manager in support of project implementation
  • Participates in client meetings and presentations.
  • Reviews construction documentation (i.e. change orders)
  • Field reviews of installed systems
  • Overtime as required
