About The Position

Join the Aggreko Next Generation Technician Program and bring your energy to Aggreko as an Energy Solutions Technicians Graduates based anywhere in the US (Open to relocate). We provide power, heating, cooling, and oil-free air solutions for various clients, from short-term events to long-term industrial operations and remote communities. This role offers a high-impact, hands-on career operating out of regional service centers, with two distinct pathways: The Tech 1 Pathway (Shop or Travel Tracks) for those meeting baseline technical requirements, and the Accelerated Entry-Level Pathway for newer students or graduates building foundational skills. Regardless of the starting pathway, you will collaborate with senior technicians to deploy, commission, and test industrial-grade equipment, perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and complex repairs on core fleets including Power Generation, Temperature Control (HVAC/Chillers), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Oil-Free Air Compressors. There are built-in opportunities for overtime, weekends, and regional travel to rapidly advance skills.

Requirements

• A current student or recent graduate (Classes of 2025, 2026, or 2027) from an accredited Trade School, Technical College, or University.
• Must submit a current official or unofficial academic transcript with your application.
• Targeted Majors & Programs: Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technology, On-Site Power Generation Technology, HVAC/R & Climate Control Engineering, Electrical Technology & Industrial Electrician, Mechatronics & Building Automation Systems, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Must for travel Techs).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or DOT medical card based on regional customer requirements.
• Ability to move or lift objects up to 75 lbs.
• Availability to work assigned schedules and travel to client sites as required.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, finger dexterity for small component manipulation, and adequate grip strength for heavy tools and ladders.
• Ability to safely pass a post-offer physical abilities assessment, including lifting (60 lbs.), pushing/pulling (80 lbs.), carrying (60 lbs.), and climbing ladders while carrying tools (15 lbs.).

Responsibilities

• Operate out of one of our regional service centers.
• Focus on in-house diagnostics, major overhauls, equipment commissioning, and preparing fleet assets for major industrial deployments (Shop Technicians).
• Work directly on diverse client sites, handling live setups, preventative maintenance, emergency troubleshooting, and local daily travel (Travel/Field Technicians).
• Deploy, commission, and test industrial-grade equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
• Perform hands-on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and complex repairs across core fleets: Power Generation, Temperature Control (HVAC/Chillers), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Oil-Free Air Compressors.
• Work overtime, weekends, and participate in regional travel.
• Participate in an on call/standby rotation.
• Stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods, and navigate uneven terrain at industrial job sites without assistive devices.
• Manipulate small components and use heavy tools and ladders.
