The Energy Services Project Manager is responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects. They lead the project team through all facets of the project and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. This role manages a portfolio of projects, which may include smaller, larger, multi-building, or complex construction projects. The Energy Services Project Manager is knowledgeable about the current job market and pricing strategies and can support sales functions in developing project scope.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience with Project Schedules / PM Construction software
  • Extensive financial analysis experience, including cost segregation, margin analysis, earned value management (EVM), or similar project‑based financial methodologies.
  • Strong financial project management ability with enough technical or construction knowledge to manage scope, schedule, and risk.
  • Prior experience resolving collections and customer financial issues during project execution.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
  • Lead all aspects of project administration, including understanding and adhering to contract penalty clauses and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify project deficiencies and providing guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and navigating governing agency requirements at the state, city, county, federal, and local levels.
  • Financially manage all aspects of projects, including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
  • Validate project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, establishing customer expectations, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans.
  • Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee the subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, and project safety.
  • Create and maintain project schedules utilizing tasks, dependencies, and milestones.
