About The Position

Join us as a Energy Performance Specialist II (EPS2) and bring your technical skills to projects that matter. The EPS2 will be responsible for implementing comprehensive measurement and verification plans to assess the performance and effectiveness of energy efficiency projects and sustainability initiatives. Your expertise in data analysis, monitoring systems, and evaluation techniques will contribute to the accurate measurement of energy savings and the identification of opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Four-year engineering or related degree
  • Two-year technical degree with equivalent related work experience
  • Two to five years relevant work experience
  • Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong interests in energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental conservation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external Customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
  • Excellent organizational skills required including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization.
  • Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of building systems, building management systems, and energy use.
  • Ability to gather, manipulate, summarize, and effectively present large data sets.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze utility data and alert on changing trends in data
  • Perform remote analysis of building automation system operation and understand impact on building utility usage trends
  • Provide custom analysis for a variety of time-series sets of data, including interval utility data, building automation system trend data, and other logged data series
  • Evaluate project performance relative to defined goals
  • Create reports summarizing performance targeted to internal project teams and customers
  • Execute defined Measurement and Verification (M&V) strategies and manage deliverables for a portfolio of projects
  • Prioritize opportunities for energy efficiency improvement within a project and across a portfolio
  • Develop building automation system review plans for new projects
  • Provide feedback to internal energy and automation teams to facilitate first time quality
  • Use building energy models to estimate impact of operational changes
  • Evaluate project risk and communicate risk to project team and business leaders
