About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in energy management, preferably within the mining, industrial, or natural resources sector;
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
  • Demonstrated technical writing and report preparation skills;
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO 50001 and/or a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset;
  • Experience in the mining or natural resource industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design, optimization, and efficient operation of Company energy supply and demand systems through the development and maintenance of an Energy Management System aligned with industry best practices.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Company operations through energy assessments and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate energy management initiatives, project assessments, and efficiency programs with internal stakeholders, BC Hydro, and other relevant partners to support continuous improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and report on energy consumption, key performance indicators, and energy performance trends, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce energy-related costs.
  • Promote energy and GHG management awareness throughout the Company and collaborate with Environmental and Sustainability teams to support GHG reporting, compliance, and sustainability objectives.
