Requirements

Minimum five years of experience in energy management, preferably within the mining, industrial, or natural resources sector;
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
Demonstrated technical writing and report preparation skills;
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ISO 50001 and/or a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset;
Experience in the mining or natural resource industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

Support the planning, design, optimization, and efficient operation of Company energy supply and demand systems through the development and maintenance of an Energy Management System aligned with industry best practices.
Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Company operations through energy assessments and performance monitoring.
Coordinate energy management initiatives, project assessments, and efficiency programs with internal stakeholders, BC Hydro, and other relevant partners to support continuous improvement.
Track, analyze, and report on energy consumption, key performance indicators, and energy performance trends, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce energy-related costs.
Promote energy and GHG management awareness throughout the Company and collaborate with Environmental and Sustainability teams to support GHG reporting, compliance, and sustainability objectives.
