About The Position

The Energy Marshal supports a long-term electrical project in Jeffersonville, Ohio, managing energization readiness and electrical safe-work processes for complex low- and medium-voltage distribution systems. The role requires prior Energy Marshal experience on a data center project and the ability to assess system readiness independently, identify unresolved deficiencies, coordinate construction and commissioning teams, and make documented Go/No-Go decisions based on safety and technical readiness rather than schedule pressure. The Energy Marshal has delegated authority to approve or reject energization requests and to stop or reject unsafe electrical work. The position is listed as a 1099 contractor engagement for one year, with a projected project period of November 16, 2026, through October 30, 2027. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., approximately 50 hours per week. Compensation is $77 per hour, with an overtime rate of $115.50 per hour and a per diem of $150 per day; pay is weekly. The Energy Marshal works with electricians, commissioning agents, general contractors, owners, QA/Cx personnel, and field leadership. The role applies NFPA 70E and applicable OSHA electrical safety requirements to energization, switching, LOTO, commissioning, and equipment turnover activities.
