About The Position

Praetorian Power Protection is seeking an Energy Marshal to join its Sacramento, California-based team. The role is based at a state-of-the-art data center and focuses on energy management, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The position offers work in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment supporting mission-critical operations.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in data center operations or energy management.
Strong knowledge of power distribution, HVAC systems, and energy monitoring tools.
Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software.
Understanding of electrical systems and energy efficiency standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications such as OSHA, LEED, or energy management certifications.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimize data center energy usage to maximize efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections of power systems, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure.
Implement and enforce energy conservation measures and sustainability initiatives.
Coordinate with facility teams to maintain data center uptime and reliability.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
Analyze energy consumption data and provide reports to management.
Respond promptly to energy-related emergencies and troubleshoot issues.
Train staff on energy management best practices and safety protocols.
