About The Position

The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their team as an Energy Management Controls Senior Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining, programming, and diagnosing automated building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to ensure air quality, building comfort, and building efficiency. The role supports over one million square feet of multi-use buildings across 65 square miles. The City of Chandler is committed to Equal Opportunity and Reasonable Accommodation.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of experience in automated controls of building automation systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Network Integration Software programming.
  • An EPA & Arizona State Refrigerant Certification upon hire or promotion.
  • A Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion.
  • A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving record check.
  • Must be fingerprinted with successful results.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, program, and diagnose automated building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ensure air quality, building comfort, and building efficiency.
  • Coordinate with contractors and building occupants.
