About The Position

CLEAResult is seeking a talented individual to join their team as an Energy Engineer I. This role supports the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations and utility program technical design and assistance. The Energy Engineer I will lead the design and development of technical strategies, conduct analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and develop plans and provide reporting that contributes to the success of client programs. This role also involves writing and informing technical documents and publications, conducting quality reviews of content, and providing general project oversight, quality control/assurance. The individual will continuously inform customers and the project team of updates and necessary adjustments. Candidates must be based in San Antonio, Texas.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or higher
  • 0-3+ years of experience
  • Excellent technical and non-technical writing and communication abilities.
  • Must be based in San Antonio Texas to be considered.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, electrical, thermodynamics, mathematics, and statistics.
  • Prioritize safety in all actions and tasks.
  • Participate in energy audits to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Support development of measures characteristics for program planning and BD efforts, with technical oversight.
  • Understand building energy end uses and energy impacts of industrial processes.
  • Support analysis of energy efficiency projects using various tools and software.
  • Become familiar with the energy efficiency industry, industry trends, regulations and best practices related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Propose solutions of issues to supervisor.
  • Anticipate issues, develop solutions, lead resolutions to internal stakeholders.
