About The Position

This role involves providing program management oversight for energy efficiency projects within the Multifamily program, ensuring compliance with BPU orders and procedures. The specialist will manage scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring projects meet all program requirements and are cost-effective. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project implementation processes, interfacing with stakeholders, performing QA/QC, and applying knowledge of energy savings measures. The role also requires managing customer relationships, coordinating vendors, reviewing deliverables, monitoring vendor performance, and processing invoices. Data analysis for project status monitoring and management reporting is crucial, as is assisting with special projects. The specialist will also develop and manage processes for BPU-approved programs and customize customer proposals to maximize incentives and savings. Site visits and independent work are expected, along with maintaining knowledge of business controls.

Requirements

Experience processing milestone-based construction payments and forecasting financial spend.
Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word).
Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail.
Able to travel within territory to conduct meetings with customers, perform inspections, and manage relationships with contractors.
Proficient with working independently.

Responsibilities

Provide Multifamily program management oversight over scope, schedule and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and procedures.
Ensure projects meet all program requirements, including project scope and cost effectiveness.
Develop and maintain the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for the Multifamily program.
Interface with associates, vendors, customers and outside consultants to assure the Program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective, and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required.
Apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight.
Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors.
Review vendor deliverables.
Monitor vendor performance and review/process vendor invoices.
Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.
Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management.
Analyze performance results for management reports.
Provide monthly project status forecasts.
Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as necessary.
Develop and manage the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for BPU approved programs.
Develop and customize a customer’s project proposal to maximize incentives and energy savings by combining commercial & industrial program incentive structures.
Coordinate and direct the activities of business development, trade allies, and vendors.
Perform project site visits as required.
Maintain and apply working knowledge of Standards of Business Controls and meeting management’s expectations for effective internal business controls.
