About The Position

Stefanini Group is looking for an Energy Efficiency Project Lead in Newark, NJ. This hybrid role involves providing program management oversight for energy efficiency projects, ensuring compliance with BPU Order and CLIENT procedures, and managing scope, schedule, and budget. The position requires developing and maintaining project implementation processes, interfacing with various stakeholders, and performing quality assurance. The role also involves applying knowledge of energy savings measures, managing customer relationships, coordinating vendor activities, and analyzing project data for reporting. Projects may include installing various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, and motors. The role requires proficiency in working independently while adhering to CLIENT Standards of Business Controls and meeting management expectations for internal business controls.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree plus 5 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, or related field.
  • Experience processing milestone-based construction payments and forecasting financial spend.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word).
  • Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail.
  • Able to travel within PSE&G territory to conduct meetings with customers, perform inspections, and manage relationships with contractors.
  • Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Multifamily program management oversight over scope, schedule, and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and CLIENT procedures.
  • Ensure projects meet all program requirements, including project scope and cost effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for the Multifamily program.
  • Interface with CLIENT associates, vendors, customers, and outside consultants to assure the Program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective, and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required.
  • Apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight.
  • Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors.
  • Review vendor deliverables.
  • Monitor vendor performance and review/process vendor invoices.
  • Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.
  • Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management.
  • Analyze performance results for management reports.
  • Provide monthly project status forecasts.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as necessary.
  • Develop and manage the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for BPU approved programs.
  • Develop and customize a customer's project proposal to maximize incentives and energy savings by combining commercial & industrial program incentive structures.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of business development, trade allies, and vendors.
  • Perform project site visits as required.
  • Must be proficient with working independently while maintaining and applying working knowledge of CLIENT Standards of Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.
