About The Position

This role supports the Senior Manager of Planning and Evaluation and functions as a first-level leader, acting as a working supervisor capable of overseeing up to five associates in lower nomenclatures. The position involves a broad range of program design duties and support in obtaining regulatory approvals. Significant work as an individual contributor on program design and the regulatory process is also required. The successful candidate will be involved in developing and maintaining a network of advocates for Company filings and initiatives, collaborating with other relationship managers, supporting implementation and engineering teams in the review and inclusion of new technologies, staying informed about new technologies and sharing information, and leading/contributing to cross-functional teams within PSE&G and across other NJ utilities on topics of common concern.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Management, Engineering, Business, Finance or other relevant field or equivalent work experience plus 7 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, vendor management, project management, or related fields.
  • In lieu of a degree, 11 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, vendor management, project management, or related field.
  • Experience managing vendor performance, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Energy Efficiency, Demand Response or Electric Vehicle program experience
  • Management/leadership experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Possess and maintain a valid U.S. Driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance of vendor(s), both office and field, that have been contracted to deliver program services.
  • Manage employee and contractor performance; ensure safety protocols and practices are followed.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including other CES members, other internal teams and joint utility teams etc, as required to deliver program services, enhance program delivery/customer experience and resolve business issues.
  • Ensure accurate invoice processing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automate where possible.
  • Monitor program Key Performance Indicators to ensure program delivery meets business plan expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Compile and analyze data from other jurisdictions to monitor best practices of program designs and related activities.
  • Projects may include the installation of various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, etc., as appropriate for the program.
  • Analyze performance results for management reports.
  • Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards of Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls.
  • During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
