About The Position

The Energy Analyst will be a key part of the SourceOne management team responsible for providing energy consulting support and maintaining good working relationships with all SourceOne customers. This role directly reports to the Supervisor of Energy Management and involves building customer relationships, gathering and consolidating data from varied sources, managing utility information, validating customer costs and utilization, fielding inquiry requests, coordinating new customer account creation, developing customized reports, researching utility access procedures, and providing follow-up with utility representatives and commodity suppliers. The position also supports administrative needs of the business, including accounting, reporting, the sales process, data entry, back-up phone support, and general administration, as well as supporting project management requests.

Requirements

  • BS/BA required preferably in Business, Math, Accounting, Engineering, or relatable field.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills required.
  • Attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong telephone etiquette.
  • Ability/flexibility to learn and apply new skills.
  • Ability to navigate through a variety of computer applications.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Providing energy consulting support and maintaining good working relationships with all SourceOne customers.
  • Directly reporting to Supervisor of Energy Management.
  • Professional service to account relationships.
  • Building customer relationships as a key member of management team.
  • Gathering and consolidating data from varied sources.
  • Managing utility information for multiple customers on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Validating and verifying customer costs and utilization using rate engines.
  • Fielding inquiry requests and managing problem resolution for customer utility-billing issues.
  • Coordinating and assisting with new customer account creation.
  • Developing customized reports to support specific customer needs.
  • Researching and identifying procedures for the authorizations of access to customer’s utility information.
  • Providing follow-up with utility representatives and commodity suppliers as needed.
  • Supporting administrative needs of the business, including but not limited to, accounting, reporting, the sales process, data entry, back-up phone support, and general administration.
  • Supporting project management requests as required by the rest of the upper management team.
