About The Position

Leidos is seeking multiple Energy Advisors to both market and support energy-efficiency programs at large industrial and commercial facilities near Detroit, Michigan. These exciting positions offer a unique career opportunity for dynamic people who possess excellent outreach, sales, communication, and organizational skills to sell leading edge energy efficiency projects within a creative team environment. Must be able to utilize initiative to develop relationships with customers, vendors, and professional organizations to keep up to date and demonstrate knowledge of operational trends, energy efficiency technologies, practices, and regulations in electric and natural gas demand side management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree with two plus (2+) years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and/or energy management (for Junior Level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree with four plus (4+) years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and/or energy energy management (for Mid-Level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree with eight plus (8+) years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and/or energy management (for Senior Level)
  • The ability to work on a number of projects and maintain adequate communication logs across multiple projects and customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications are essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be a self-starter who knows how to prioritize and work with limited oversight,
  • Productivity and accuracy must be demonstrated in performance of work.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong relevant experience with industrial manufacturing environments, commercial retro-commissioning, and/or strategic energy management practices
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing environments or commercial building retro-commissioning is a plus
  • Experience in project/account management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify efficiency opportunities, calculate energy savings, maintain strong customer relationships, and deliver presentations
  • Directly market to large commercial, industrial and government facility owners
  • Work closely with facility managers, facility and manufacturing engineers, contracts, supplies and energy engineers to encourage energy efficiency practices in their facilities
  • Coordinate and educate customers, and provide training for internal and external clients on energy related issues
  • Evaluate energy consuming systems and consult on behalf of the utility energy efficiency program
  • Develop relationships with customers and vendors to keep up to date and demonstrate knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and practices in demand side management
