We are looking for a talented individual… To join our team as a Energy Advisor! You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to our customers. This is a hybrid position supporting two programs. You will be supporting our Recycling Appliance Program by driving our truck to residential homes and will be picking up refrigerators that need to be recycled. You will also be supporting our homeowners and contractors by installing energy-efficient equipment, conducting energy efficiency (re)audits, pre, and post-installation verifications. To be considered for this role you must be based in Michigan City, Indiana for daily travel within the region.
Requirements
- Technical and/or sales and/or customer service experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Are at least 21 years of age
- A valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work in-person in multiple homes per day (this is not a work-from-home position; you will be in the field servicing customers’ homes)
- Lifting heavy refrigerators using dollies, team lifts, or other methods
- Work in all climates
- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
- Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.
Responsibilities
- Pick up refrigerators from customers homes
- Provide individualized and ongoing assistance to property owners and contractors to convert projects according to contract compliance
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specification
- Rebate processing, data entry, and QA/QC support
- Record and provide to program staff customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements
