About The Position

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking an Energetics Manufacturing Engineer Level 4 to join their team in Promontory, UT. This role is focused on developing, establishing, and maintaining Mission Assurance policies and procedures, processes, and controls to ensure the performance and quality of manufactured products conform to established company, international (AS9100), and governmental requirements, as well as lasting customer satisfaction. The position is 100% onsite and does not offer relocation assistance. The role involves overseeing a team of quality engineers to support organizational and program deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Understanding of all safety risks of the process and design the processes such that safety risks are mitigated or eliminated.
  • Understanding and compliance with DOD4145.26 ATF.
  • Ability to support cross-functional matrixed investigation teams with emphasis on root cause analysis, process failure modes, non-conformances and effective analysis.
  • Understanding of the design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections.
  • Ability to provide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/procedures to assure compliance.
  • Ability to serve as liaison between Promontory S&MA and various other organizations including some government agencies.
  • Ability to work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Material Review Board (MRB) membership for relevant programs.
  • Ability to mentor/develop quality engineers within the Promontory Value Stream engineering team.

Responsibilities
