About The Position

LMH Health is hiring an Endoscopy Technician to support adult patients and the care team during endoscopic procedures. The role operates within the Patient Care Technician scope of practice, with patient care provided under the direction and supervision of an RN. Primary duties include assisting with endoscope procedures, processing scopes, preparing and maintaining specialized equipment, and supporting patient care to help provide a safe and efficient patient experience.

The position is scheduled for four 9-hour shifts per week. It may suit Medical Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, and other healthcare professionals seeking to build advanced clinical skills in a specialized setting. LMH Health offers financial assistance for completing the SGNA Associates Program.

Requirements

• Current Kansas Nurse Aide Certification.
• Complete the SGNA Associates Program within one year; LMH Health offers financial assistance.
• BLS Certification.

• One year of endoscopy technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in accordance with the patient/family plan of care under RN supervision.
• Assist with endoscope procedures and process scopes.
• Communicate pertinent information to the team leader.
• Interact respectfully with customers and maintain excellent customer service skills.
• Prioritize work with patients and coworkers efficiently and effectively.
• Clean and maintain equipment to meet infection control and safety standards.
• Perform care appropriate to the population served on the unit, as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
