About The Position

This position involves rendering professional nursing care to provide quality patient care. Employing critical thinking skills, the technician assesses patients’ condition, recognizes deviations, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations. The role also involves delegating appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and functioning as a team member to fulfill unit goals. These are general characteristics of the job, although duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.

Requirements

Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date)
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position
Previous Endoscopy experience preferred
