About The Position

On-the-job training will be provided for department-specific skills. The Endoscopy Technician I assists the RN and Physician during Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy procedures, ensures the procedure room is appropriately set up for each procedure, and performs bedside cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and bronchoscopes. The role also assists with transporting patients to and from the Endoscopy Department and with pre-operative and post-operative patient care under the supervision of an RN.

Requirements

• Certification of completion of a CNA I program.
• Maintain requirements for listing on the CNA registry.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN and Physician during Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy procedures.
• Ensure the procedure room is appropriately set up for each procedure.
• Perform bedside cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and bronchoscopes.
• Assist with transporting patients to and from the Endoscopy Department.
