About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician 1 provides technical support to the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, working under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). This role assists with all types of GI procedures, including cleaning, high-level disinfection, and basic troubleshooting of endoscopes and accessory equipment, adhering to established policies, protocols, techniques, and guidelines. The technician may also perform unit secretarial and clerical aspects of patient care as needed. The position requires meeting departmental qualifications and competencies, utilizing interpersonal skills for excellent customer service and safe patient care, and contributing to a positive and cooperative work environment for a diverse workforce and patient population. Other duties as assigned.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• One year of GI Lab experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities
