About The Position

This is a travel assignment for an Endoscopy Tech, also known as a GI Lab Tech, in Rochester, NY. The contract duration is 17 weeks, with a start date of 09/14/2026. The role involves working in a GI lab within a clinical health system, requiring adherence to aseptic techniques, equipment maintenance, and patient care duties. The pay range is $1,413 to $1,497 per week, with guaranteed hours not being guaranteed. The shift is 8-hour days with on-call night rotations.

Requirements

Travel experience required; targets travelers who have completed at least 1 travel assignment
2 years in Endoscopy/GI lab tech roles
Ability to work in a GI lab environment and handle the associated procedures and workflow

Nice To Haves

High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly encouraged

Responsibilities

Apply aseptic technique principles to equipment preparation and maintenance and assist with procedures; monitor sterility and identify compromises to sterile/high-level disinfectant integrity during procedures.
Disassemble, identify defective or malfunctioning parts, and provide preventive maintenance for all procedure supplies and equipment.
Perform all pre-cleaning requirements per regulatory standards for all endoscopes, including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and identifying needed repairs; follow protocols for reprocessing and storing endoscopes and accessories.
Determine methods of High-Level Disinfection based on materials and manufacturer instructions; check and calibrate equipment according to protocol.
Perform ambulatory technician duties as assigned, such as obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients.
