Endoscopy Tech - Casual Status -Encinitas
About The Position
This casual-status (per diem) Endoscopy Tech position is located at Scripps Encinitas. The role assists with Endoscopy procedures within the scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The Endoscopy Tech prepares patients for assessment, procedures, and post-operative observation according to patient-care standards and the specific procedure being performed. The position also involves manually cleaning endoscopes according to manufacturer guidelines and/or the Infection Control Flexible Endoscopy program. The schedule varies, with a typical start time of 6:45 a.m., and includes rotating evening and weekend call. The training schedule is ideally full-time, though part-time training may be considered. Requested availability is twice per two-week pay period.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- EMT or CNA qualification.
- S.G.N.A. Associates Program-GI Technical Specialist Certification.
- Previous procedural technical experience.
- ERCP or EUS experience.
