About The Position

This is a full-time position at Scripps Memorial Campus in Encinitas. The Housekeeping/EVS Tech must be available to work a varied shift, with the start time dependent on departmental needs, and a varied schedule that includes weekends.

The housekeeping team supports environmental care through cleaning patient-care and non-patient-care areas, linen service, waste and sharps-container removal, meeting and event setup and breakdown, and infection control and sanitation. The work uses technical, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. The role follows established policies and practices to comply with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements, and reflects the organization's mission, philosophy, and goals.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality.
• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient-care areas.
• Clean non-patient-care areas.
• Provide linen service.
• Remove waste and sharps containers.
• Set up and break down meetings and events.
• Perform infection control and sanitation tasks.
• Follow established policies and practices to comply with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
