About The Position

Arizona Advanced Endoscopy is hiring a GI/Endo Tech to assist the Registered Nurse with patient preparation and post-operative care. The role supports outpatient surgical procedures by helping maintain clean and orderly pre- and post-operative areas, preparing patients and ensuring required documentation and testing are available before procedures. The GI/Endo Tech also assists with patient transport, supplies and equipment, family communication, and participation in quality, infection-control, and safety programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience or interest in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of GI procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse in preparing patients for procedures and providing post-operative care.
• Check that the pre- and post-operative areas are clean and orderly.
• Bring patients to the pre-operative area and assist them with changing if needed.
• Take vital signs.
• Ensure pre-operative testing, the history and physical, and necessary paperwork are on the chart before the procedure.
• Transport patients to and from procedure rooms.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and restock carts.
• Direct family members.
• Include patients and family members in post-operative instructions.
• Coordinate patient transportation.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
• Participate in QAPI, Infection Control, and the Safety Program.
