Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Endo/GI & Reprocessing experience highly preferred
  • Diploma from an approved Sterile Processing Program
  • 1 year of work experience in health care, supply management, or operating department or procedure room experience
  • Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER)
  • CBSPD​

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance to physicians during procedures.
  • Clean and disinfect a variety of endoscopes and endoscopic accessories.
  • Monitor endoscopes and instruments to ensure they are performing at optimal levels.
  • Identify and label instruments for processing and high-level disinfection expiration.
  • Operate and maintain automated endoscope reprocessing equipment utilizing proper operating procedures and methods in accordance with manufacturers recommended parameters.
  • Follow policy procedures protocols and infection control guidelines.
  • Maintain patient data and quality control logs.
  • Oversee the care, handling, and maintenance of endoscopes. Inspects endoscopes and reports broken equipment to supervisor.
  • Clean the endoscopes properly, dry, and store instruments and supplies using proper stocking and storage techniques.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
