About The Position

GulfShore Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated RN Endoscopy, Full Time, to join their team. GulfShore Endoscopy Center is a multi-specialty surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. This position requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings are required. The Endo RN has the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. As an Endoscopy RN, you'll work in endoscopy or gastroenterology. Endo nurses assist in any procedures where use of an endoscope is indicated and you'll help identify problems within the body using miniature cameras. Endo RN job duties can also include providing pre- and post-procedure patient care, including sedation and sterilization.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • 3–5 years experience as a RN in Pre Op/PACU or ICU, endoscopy preferred.
  • Currently licensed in the state.
  • BLS.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Current ACLS / PALS preferred or included in education plan
