About The Position

Texas Endoscopy Center (Plano Endo-East) is seeking a Registered Nurse Endoscopy to join their team. The center is dedicated to delivering top-tier endoscopic procedures in a high-quality, service-oriented atmosphere, prioritizing both professional growth and personal well-being. With a growing physician partnership, Texas Endoscopy Center has expanded to include 6 endoscopic procedure rooms, 13 physicians, and 2 locations in Plano, TX. The role is at the forefront of endoscopic excellence, making a significant impact on patients' lives and contributing to their overall well-being, especially with the increased demand for gastroenterology services due to changes in colon cancer screening age. Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in Endoscopy (GI)
  • Experience is required for endoscope manipulation under the direction of the physician
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Currently licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas
  • General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and procedures for an endoscopy procedure room.

  • IV Insertion highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients, equipment and room for Endoscopy procedures.
  • Assists physicians with Endoscopy procedures.
  • Specialized knowledge, experience and training is required for endoscope manipulation under the direction of the physician.
  • Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
  • Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for Endoscopy nursing care according to accepted standards.
  • Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of Endoscopy procedures and techniques.
  • Provides multi-dimensional care for assigned patients.
