About The Position
The Endoscopy Procedural Tech is responsible for the care, handling, and processing of endoscopy procedural equipment and accessories in accordance with hospital and unit policy, SGNA guidelines, and manufacturer guidelines. The role also supports procedure room setup and turnover, patient rooming and transportation, stretcher cleaning, and unit supplies and inventory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competency in the care, handling, processing, and storage of endoscopes and accessory equipment.
- Maintain meticulous reprocessing records and logs.
- Apply infection control principles knowledgeably.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient and cost-effective department.
- Maintain separation of dirty and clean items.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.
- Assist with procedure room setup and turnover.
- Room patients and transport patients.
- Clean stretchers and prep/recovery bays.
- Maintain unit supplies and inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
