About The Position

The Endoparasite Biologist Intern will work as part of a cross-functional team of scientists and staff at Zoetis’s Kalamazoo facilities to develop and conduct parasitology research, primarily focused on endoparasites. The work includes culturing nematodes and optimizing in vitro assays. The intern will contribute to experimental design, data collection, and analysis, and present findings internally through team meetings and an intern poster session.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s-level program in parasitology, immunology, biology, or a similar field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with basic laboratory procedures and parasitology methods, through coursework or laboratory experience, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Culture parasites, including in vitro and in vivo work.
• Conduct in vitro screening and develop and execute assays.
• Capture data in an electronic database and perform statistical analysis.
• Review literature and generate hypotheses.
• Present research progress and results internally.
