About The Position

COPC is seeking a knowledgeable, licensed Endocrinologist to provide care to patients at COPC Endocrinology Specialists in Westerville, Ohio. This is a thriving outpatient practice with 3 physicians and 2 APPs. The practice is located approximately 16 miles from downtown Columbus, offering a blend of small-city feel with access to big-city amenities. Columbus boasts strong higher education, a vibrant arts community, numerous parks, entertainment venues, popular sports teams, and a growing business sector with major companies like Google, Amazon, and Intel. Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM. The role involves diagnosing and treating hormone disorders, managing patient care, conducting research, and potentially performing thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies. The practice utilizes EPIC EHR. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO).
  • Completion of a three-year Internal Medicine residency.
  • Fellowship completion.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
  • A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions.
  • Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and medical equipment.
  • The ability to speak more than one language would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and treating hormone disorders and other problems relating to the endocrine system.
  • Evaluating patient symptoms and medical histories, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.
  • Supporting patients with physical limitations due to conditions.
  • Analyzing, examining, and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances.
  • Ordering and performing tests and interpreting the results.
  • Discussing diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle, dietary changes, and other preventative measures.
  • Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records.
  • Conducting research and studies on the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions to develop new treatment techniques.
  • Remaining up to date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology.
