About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is a large Federally Qualified Health Center in California with a 47-year history of growth and innovation. They serve patients at 31 health centers in Fresno and Kern counties, offering a wide range of services including Pediatric Care, Adult Care, Dental Care, Behavioral Health, Case Management, Prenatal & Women’s Health, Substance Abuse Treatment, HIV/AIDS testing and treatment, Health Education, Outreach and WIC services. They partner with local entities to address patient needs and are known for their compassionate care of vulnerable populations. The organization is accredited by the Joint Commission and is seeking a Physician Endocrinologist to manage patients with uncontrolled diabetes and endocrine disorders, working within a team-focused environment where patient health is the top priority.

Requirements

  • Professional clinical experience in physician's specialty.
  • California Physician’s License
  • DEA Certificate
  • AHA-BLS (Exempt if you have ACLS certification)
  • Board Certification/Board Eligibility is required.
  • Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in EPIC is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Interest in research is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in-person and virtual visits.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care providers, clinical pharmacist, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Keeps accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Always adheres to the highest standards of medical ethics.
  • Always assures quality of care for all patients and regularly participates in clinic Peer Review and Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Clinic practice of at least 34 patient care hours per week, with 6 hours of admin time built into the 40 hour per week schedule.
  • Supervises advance practice providers (Nurse practitioners and/or Physicians Assistant's) on- site and by telephone with outlying clinic sites.
  • Represents CSV in professional groups.
  • Assists the Chief Medical Officer in design, implementation, and evaluation of health care programs/protocols for patients and staff.
  • On a scheduled basis may be required to work at any satellite facility.
  • Reasonable and predictable in person attendance.
  • Other duties as required.
