About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their Comprehensive Care Center team. Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
Completion of California Board approved 8-hour course in infection control.
Basic Life Support certification.
Graduation from high school.
Possession of State Radiological Certification.

Nice To Haves

Two years’ experience is preferred.
Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
Willingness to participate in expanded duty program as such program becomes operational.
Desire to work closely with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Proficient in four-handed dentistry.
Assist the dentist in all aspects of chairside assisting, including draping and seating the patient, preparing the dental chair and room, and confirming treatment recording.
Operate Dental radiography equipment.
Apply topical agents.
Remove dressings.
Be an active and enthusiastic team member.
Fill in as Dental Receptionist to answer telephone calls, route and assist incoming patients, and perform other designated tasks.
Follow Infection Control policies.
Follow HIPPA Policies.
Follow Radiology Policies.
Follow sterilization protocols and consistently demonstrate adherence to the sterilization process.
Perform other work-related duties as required.
